Job Description

A full-time, school-based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA 2) position is available for the 202526 elementary school year, providing dedicated 1:1 care to a student with medical needs in Hickory, NC. This contract role begins in August 2025 and involves close collaboration with educational staff and the onsite school nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 CNA support throughout the school day to a student requiring medical assistance
• Monitor and document oxygen levels in accordance with the care plan
• Perform tube feedings as prescribed daily
• Work alongside the school nurse, who oversees oxygen administration when necessary
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment to foster the students well-being

Qualifications:

• Active CNA-2 certification is required
• Previous experience with tube feeding and oxygen monitoring is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with school-based healthcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for seamless integration into the classroom
• Ability to work comfortably within an educational environment alongside teachers and staff
