  • This job is part of the Cobrand & Currency Analysis team within the Strategic Planning & Analysis organization, part of the Revenue Division.
  • The Cobrand & Currency Analysis team analytically supports the strategic direction and operations of American's global cobrand credit card portfolio and strategic non-air mileage currency partnerships under the Currency Partnerships organization. Leveraging strategic analysis and data-driven insights, the team unlocks revenue opportunities and provides actionable guidance for achieving AA's commercial objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of revenue strategies and initiatives including cardmember acquisitions, engagement , AAdvantage, and marketing actions
  • Foster relationships and lead discussions with stakeholders across the company that are focused on driving long term value to American Airlines (including Cobrand, Strategic Partnerships , Customer Insights & Loyalty)
  • Analyze the performance of existing partnerships, evaluate new partnerships and craft creative solutions that drive continuous improvement from American Airlines’ partners
  • Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling or other analytical methods to analyze data and develop practical solutions to business problems
  • Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure that the entire Strategic Planning & Analysis organization has the appropriate level of tool knowledge and that we are prepared for the future
  • Align teams around commercial strategies, key objectives and success metrics, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed
  • Tailor communication of complex ideas to both junior and senior-level audiences
  • Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests
  • Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes
  • Develop reports and proposals, such as market assessments, business plans, financial performance plans, etc.
  • Analyze data derived from various areas, such as customer flight and spend activity, , market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or Master’s degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools including Excel, Tableau, SQL, and Power BI
  • Experience in airline Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, or analytical field

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment
  • Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to draw insights, drive results, and create innovative solutions
  • Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace
  • Ability to perform in cross-functional groups with minimal supervision to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline
  • Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
