The City of Arvada operates West Woods Golf Course; this position is responsible for selling alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and food on the 27-hole course in a warm, friendly and professional manner while exhibiting proper golf etiquette and safe driving. Loads, restocks and unloads beverage cart daily. Performs daily inventory and records any restocking of all products, both food and beverage. Keeps carts clean and organized. Greets guests warmly and with a smile, proceeds with standard sales approach with suggestive selling and upselling; has thorough knowledge of food and beverage items available to the golfer. Maintains up to date knowledge of applicable liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management. Utilizes Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports and inventory reconciliation. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events and course activities. Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette. Ability to work in inclement weather and variety of outdoor temperatures. Attends required department meetings and training sessions. Frequently operates a personal or City-owned motor vehicle to drive to and from work locations throughout the City. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires ability to use good judgment, strong math skills, ability to work independently, maintain clean and neat appearance, maintain adequate attendance, follow instructions, work with a P.O.S., handle and reconcile cash banks, work evenings, weekends and some holidays, and establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Requires a valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record. High School/GED education required. Customer service and cash handling experience required. Previous golf cart attendant experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Physical demands include moderate to considerable physical effort, frequent use of light or medium weight objects, and occasional hazards such as hazardous waste, ladders, cleaning supplies, trips and falls. Work environment includes regular exposure to heat, noise, and outdoor elements.
