Electrical Training Specialist - Raleigh, NC

Eaton's Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is current seeking a Service Training Specialist to join our team. This position is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250 - $122,100 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The Service Training Specialist will be an integral part of our Training team for the CPS business. In this role, the Service Training Specialist will be responsible for developing, delivering and facilitating instructor led and virtual CPS Service field trainings to both internal and external customers. Be responsible for the development, delivery, and facilitation of instructor-led and virtual CPS Service Field trainings.

Be a contributing member of the CPS training department, supporting and coordinating training events, including but not limited to, set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment, and material needs in conjunction with training coordinators and other personnel.

Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.

Be responsible for student evaluations, course evaluations, cost tracking, and continuous improvement efforts within training programs.

Be expected to apply knowledge of safe electrical work practices as described in National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standard 70E and OSHA 1910 Subpart S.

Instruct, and demonstrate expertise, around the commissioning and maintenance of Critical Power Solutions products, including but not limited to Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDUs).

Collaborate cross functionally to develop customer training programs and opportunities.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum of (4) years of experience evaluating, testing, installing, and/or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment OR two (2) years technical teaching experience.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Must be able to travel domestically 25% of the time.

Ability to lift, move and set up demonstration equipment of various weight up to 40 pounds and move demonstration equipment on wheels weighing in excess of 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Seven (7) years of experience evaluating, testing, installing, or maintaining industrial and commercial power systems equipment.

In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA practices as related to electrical industry and safety standards

Skills:

Knowledge and understanding of classroom presentation and instructional methods, technical writing skills, and an understanding of adult learning styles.

Professional presence and an ability to build rapport with a variety of personalities in multiple levels of the organization.

Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in the tools required for the development of new training materials including Microsoft platforms, learning management systems, and electrical system software.

Ability to learn and implement new delivery methods and/or champion change in product, technical, or field programs through instruction.
