JOB TITLE: Teacher

 

JOB QUALIFICATION: The general qualifications of a teacher in Pennsylvania.

 

Outstanding recommendations and current references.

 

Current teaching experience in related position preferred.

 

High academic standards.

 

Extra curricular experiences and skills preferred.

 

REPORTS TO: Principal / Superintendent

 

SUPERVISES: Aides as assigned

 

JOB GOAL: To use leadership, knowledge and skill to promote the educational development of each student. To make the school an attractive, pleasant, and productive place.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  1. All conditions of employment as defined in the current negotiated contract. 


  1. To maintain a roster of students receiving instruction. 


  1. To provide an ongoing evaluation of students. 


  1. To maintain a liaison with other teachers and specialists that serve district students. 


  1. To help keep parents informed of their children’s progress and meet with parents for conferences when requested. 


  1. To provide instruction to assigned students within your certified areas. 


  1. To coordinate activities with other classroom teachers. 


  1. To provide scholastic assessment of assigned students. 


  1. To attend in-service programs, staff meetings, and conferences to keep informed about changes in your subject area. 


  1. To recommend children for enrichment or remedial programs. 


  1. To respond to the needs (educational, health, and psychological) of each student. 


  1. To counsel and refer troubled students for treatment to the principal or proper agency. 


  1. To report unusual or suspicious behavior of students to the proper authority. 


  1. To assume other related duties assigned by the principal or superintendent. 


  1. To monitor/supervise hall supervision, cafeteria/playground supervision and bus supervision, as assigned or scheduled by the principal. 

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the principal/superintendent according to PA regulations using an approved form.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000Per Year
