Job Summary: The Hospitalist is expected to provide clinical care for patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals and support surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice.

Schedule: Block 7 on 7 off / 6a-6p, Round Robin Call, Semi-Closed ICU, ARNP Support.

Primary Functions:

• Assess, evaluate, and manage patients in the acute facility, including histories, physicals, and examinations.
• Diagnose and actively manage patient conditions, including daily care.
• Attend multi-disciplinary rounds.
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and tests.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Prescribe or recommend therapies, including medications.
• Consult with physicians as needed.
• Refer patients appropriately.
• Utilize resources efficiently and support clinical pathways.
• Make timely referrals to tertiary care when indicated.

Education, Training, and Experience:

• Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO).
• Advanced training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board Certified or Eligible (IM or FP).
• Active FL medical license in good standing.
• DEA license eligible/active.

Job Status: Full-time, Block 7 on 7 off.
