Job Description

Logical Brands is a fast-paced company specializing in products for companion animals (mainly dogs and cats). Our innovation team is second to none in this area of pet, and innovation is a main focus of the company’s growth.

The Product Developer for this team would work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ideate new products and bring those products to market. You will work with research institutions, international and domestic suppliers, internal stakeholders and, occasionally, customers to bring the innovation team’s visions to market.

We are a lean team passionate about what we do and what we provide our customers. Therefore, this is a hands-on role that requires top-to-bottom project coordination and execution to bring innovative products to market. This position is a key role that reports to the Chief Innovation Officer (and co-founder) of the company

Because there is a tremendous amount of innovation that happens at Logical Brands, the successful candidate will be impeccably organized. He/she will also be able to work on several projects at once while prioritizing within those projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with multiple domestic and international suppliers
• Sample management, including arranging sales samples, tagging, evaluating, etc.
• Research for new products and lines across all of pet
• Ideating new product ideas and improvements on existing styles
• Discussion and communication with multiple universities
• Interaction with several internal stakeholders for consumer-facing research, CPG research, packaging, etc.

Requirements:

• Exceptional Project Management Skills – Ability to oversee product lines and timelines simultaneously while ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Effective Verbal and Written Communicator – Skilled in crafting and delivering clear, concise instructions, updates, and feedback across diverse teams, time zones, and cultural backgrounds, with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally with factories, marketing, design, and supply chain teams on a daily basis.
• Supplier Management Expertise – Experience working directly with international and domestic suppliers, including daily follow-ups, troubleshooting, and price negotiation.
• Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment – Comfortable pivoting quickly between priorities and managing high volumes of product SKUs at various stages of development.
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking – Proactive in identifying issues before they escalate, and skilled at driving resolutions under tight timelines.
• Collaborative Mindset – Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and shared ownership of goals.
• Emotional Intelligence and Resilience – Demonstrates grace under pressure, able to navigate strong personalities while maintaining composure, professionalism and focus.
• Detail-Oriented with a Strategic Lens – Highly organized with an attention to detail in product specs, development timelines, and vendor coordination, while maintaining a broader strategic outlook.
• Highly Organized and Process Oriented – Demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows, maintain meticulous documentation, and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
• Experience – Five years of experience as a product developer – hardlines preferred
