BAR Interiors is seeking a talented and passionate Interior Designer with hospitality and custom homes experience to join our team as we get started on a luxury high-rise residential project. Additional project opportunities will include a combination of hospitality, high-end custom homes, and urban multifamily projects. The scope of opportunities will range from brand positioning/concept through CA phases and from contributing original design solutions to taking direction from Senior Designers and our Interior Design Studio Director. At BAR we design unique, concept / visioning influenced interior experiences for exciting projects of all scales. Our ideal candidate will have both interior architecture and FF+E experience and be driven to produce creative design solutions at the macro and micro-levels of projects. Believing in the vital nature of in-person collaboration, we will not consider candidates seeking full-time, remote positions. This position is based in our San Francisco office. Qualifications And Experience Required Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience Proven ability to design, document and execute high level design projects, both in collaboration with and independent of an architecture studio Understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts Experience evaluating, selecting, and applying advanced design and technical methods, with responsibility for project assignments including brand positioning, programming, design development, production and coordination through construction documents and construction administration Strong competency in interior design specifications and industry standards; familiarity with accessibility codes a plus Able to work easily independently and alongside team to meet budget and schedule Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to acquire and share knowledge Strong interest in educating and mentoring younger team members Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills Proficiency with Sketch-up, Adobe CS, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite; Lumion is a plus StudioDesigner / SpecSources / any other purchasing software is a plus Sustainability accreditation highly desired A professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related discipline At BAR Architects & Interiors our diverse practice has always had a singular focus — to create places that inspire and that stand the test of time while meeting each of our client’s specific needs in unique ways. At the time of posting this job advertisement, the salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00, commensurate with qualifications, and the position is eligible for an annual bonus.
