NECD is seeking a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

NECD is known for our ability to provide high-end design and construction finishes for elevators in New York City and beyond. Our clients are leading elevator contractors, architects and developers. Our primary products include elevator cabs, doors, entrances and elevator fixtures.

Some noteworthy projects include 50 Hudson Yards, The Spiral, One World Trade Center, 425 Park and 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

We are seeking a candidate, preferably with a degree in Architecture or Engineering, to join our engineering team. Working directly with the Director of Engineering, as well as interfacing with our broader company teams - Operations, Project Management, Sales, and Production – the candidate for this position should have the following general qualifications:

Requirements:

· An associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Architecture or Engineering

· Strong communication skills

· Proficiency reading architectural drawings + specifications

· Excellent organization and teamwork skills, with strong attention to detail

· Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook

· Proficiency in AutoCAD required, AutoCAD Inventor a plus

 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Creation of approval design drawings

· Interface with customer regarding engineering and other issues

· Create release packages for production including detail drawings and programming of shop equipment

· Interface with production regarding any and all engineering/production issues

· Field Surveys
