Job Description

We are looking for a Part-Time Guest Host/Housekeeper to join our team. The Guest Host/Housekeeper supports the business by effectively cleaning apartments to meet and/or exceed the standards for On-Base Suites, located in Fort Irwin, CA. Hours will vary based on business demand. May include holidays and/or alternate days or hours as needed. Must live in Fort Irwin

Essential Functions

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • Unit inspections
  • Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Report work orders to maintenance
  • Laundering and folding towels & linens
  • Stain removal
  • Notifying supervisor on low inventory and supplies needed
  • Keeping the linen room organized
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
  • Notify Management when equipment needs to be ordered and plan for delivery time to ensure that orders arrive prior to exhausting current inventory
  • The ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and guests is a necessary skill for this position.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
  • May provide cross-training to staff.

  • Most cleans must be done between the hours of 11am and 4pm

Work Environment

Work environment will include the interior and exterior of the Town Center Terrace at Fort Irwin. The majority of work will take place inside On-Base Suites apartments, but employee will need to spend some time outdoors. Employee will be required to walk through parking lot to access apartments.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly bending down, picking up items up to 30lbs, and reaching. The employee frequently is required to use hands. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to occasionally work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time.

Travel: This position will require travel 5% of the time.

Work Authorization: This employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
