**Job Title: Pharmacist**

**Company Overview:**

MDM Pharmacy is a community pharmacy located inside Dixie Road Medical Associates at 2200 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, Ontario. Established in 1989, we rebranded as MDM Pharmacy in 2019. Our dedicated pharmacy team provides exceptional customer service for our patients and support for our pharmacists.

We operate a customized paperless workflow using KROLL, which entails a higher level of technical demands than the average pharmacy. While training will be provided, candidates should possess above-average technical proficiency. This includes keyboard skills and expertise in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace tools, such as Gmail and Google Drive.

We have established a long-standing, mutually supportive relationship with the physicians at Dixie Road Medical Associates, frequently interacting with them through both digital means, such as online fax, and in-person discussions. We are often called upon to conduct minor ailment assessments, both virtually and face-to-face. While we do not currently perform many MDS checks, we are focusing on enhancing our capabilities in this area with our excellent team.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties:**

- Perform clinical and technical prescription verification.

- Provide consultation to patients by phone and in person.

- Document and maintain patient counselling notes, billing notes, and other patient records.

- Assist with data entry, including building and maintaining patient and prescriber files, inputting prescriptions and processing refill requests.

- Assist with compliance pack (dosette) verification.

**Hours of Work:**

The pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. We are closed on Sundays. We are currently seeking candidates available for 30 to 40 hours per week. The current schedule includes 3 weekdays per week and 1 Saturday every 2 weeks. The schedule can be quite flexible, provided there is a commitment to Saturdays.

**Compensation and Offer:**

The remuneration for this position ranges from $50 to $58 per hour, based on professional and technical proficiency, experience, availability, and interest in assuming additional responsibilities, including the pharmacy manager position.

Additional benefits may be discussed and can include the following, depending on the role and availability:

- Malpractice insurance premium reimbursement.

- OCP license fee reimbursement.

- Annual MAPflow subscription for minor ailment assessments.

- Fee-for-service bonus.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail community pharmacy in Canada, which can include time as a student, assistant, or technician.

- Proficiency in data entry, including building and maintaining patient and doctor profiles in pharmacy software and inputting prescriptions.

- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting prescriptions and fee-for-service billing.

- Proficiency in KROLL Paperless.

**Legal and Professional Requirements:**

- Licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) as a Part A Pharmacist.

- Malpractice insurance.
