Job Summary The Pharmacy Manager: Serves as the Pharmacist in Charge as defined by the State Board of Pharmacy, and reports to the Market Director of Pharmacy. Supervises daily departmental work activities and staff, including schedules and assignments. Serves as a pharmacist, performing dispensing and clinical functions. Develops and implements systems to ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and staff workflows. Acts as a resource for staff regarding education, orientation, and SOPs. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Guides and evaluates staff performance. Handles hiring, onboarding, and training. Ensures proper staffing and on-call coverage. Conducts evaluations and performance management. Maintains documentation per regulations and policies. Leads as a hospital department leader and promotes teamwork. Participates in hospital quality improvement committees. Maintains accurate patient profiles and provides drug information. Follows policies, procedures, and regulations. Performs drug procurement, distribution, preparation, and monitoring. Compounds, labels, and dispenses medications. Reviews work of support personnel and prescribed therapies for safety and effectiveness. Collects data for quality improvement activities. Provides administrative support to the Market Director. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Knowledge of OSHA, TJC, CMS, FDA, DEA, and state requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in building positive relationships. Good health and stress management. Professional appearance and adherence to dress code. Maintains licensure and certifications. Ability to provide age-appropriate care and communicate effectively. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. Full mobility and participation in activities. Salary Range $130,770 - $190,725.18 Qualifications Education BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Licenses/Certifications Current Pharmacist license in the state of employment. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Experience Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience. Hospital experience preferred.
