Private Equity Analyst
Role Overview:
The Associate will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing growth equity investments, while also supporting the development and success of portfolio companies. This position offers hands-on exposure to the full investment lifecycle, significant responsibility, and collaboration with senior leadership and management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in deal execution, including transaction structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
Develop and articulate investment theses and recommendations in collaboration with senior team members.
Work closely with portfolio companies, supporting operational improvements, strategic growth initiatives, and long-term value creation plans.
Prepare high-quality presentation materials for internal committees and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and advisors to strengthen deal flow and investment opportunities.
Sourcing Investment Opportunities: Proactively identify and source growth equity opportunities by conducting industry research, networking with founders and entrepreneurs, and building relationships with intermediaries and advisors.
Conduct market research, financial analysis, and detailed due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
~ Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a strong academic record.
~2-3 years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking, growth equity, private equity, or management consulting.
~ FINRA certification(s) are a must (please include certification IDs).
~ Bilingual English-Mandarin is a must.
~ Demonstrated ability to independently source and assess investment opportunities.
~ Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
~ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
~ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
~ Passion for growth equity and partnering with companies to achieve transformational outcomes.
