- Flexible working hours that fit around your schedule. Hours may include morning visits between 6-11am, midday visits between 11-4pm, and evening visits between 4-9pm, at your pace and discretion.

**What We're Looking For**
- A genuine love for cats and experience in caring for them
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
- The ability to self-manage, create your own travel routes and schedule your own day given your schedule for the day
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow highly specific care instructions from cat owners
- Excellent communication skills both intracompany and with pet owners
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as driving around Houston is required
- Flexibility to work with a schedule that often changes with last minute bookings and cancellations, and especially including the ability to work long hours on holidays
- Availability during peak holiday seasons is a must as this is when our clients need us most!
**Job Duties and Expectations**
- Daily Care: Provide fresh food and water according to each cat's schedule and dietary needs.
- Litter Box Maintenance: Ensure that litter boxes are cleaned regularly and kept tidy. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as litter is often heavy.
- Play and Interaction: Spend quality time playing and interacting with cats to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. This might include using toys, engaging in gentle petting, or just keeping them company. Some cats may prefer to keep to themselves which may involve playing close attention to their body language and responding accordingly.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as instructed by the owner, ensuring the cat's health needs are met.
- Health Monitoring: Keep an eye out for any signs of health issues, such as changes in behavior, appetite, or litter box habits, and report them to the owner immediately.
- Home Care: Perform light home care tasks like bringing in the mail, watering plants, setting out/bringing in garbage bins, or adjusting lights, as requested by the owner.
- Communication: Provide daily updates to cat owners, including photos and notes about their kitty's day, to give them peace of mind while they're away.
- Safety and Security: Ensure the home is secure with attention to detail on arming and locking up. Take extra care that the cat is safe at all times, especially when entering or leaving the property.
- Driving: Be prepared to drive across Houston to visit clients, sometimes on short notice, and manage multiple appointments in a day.
