QLD Biotherapeutics is at the forefront of Cell and Gene Therapy, developing innovative treatments for neurological disorders, eye diseases, and tumors. We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our preclinical R&D team, focusing on early drug discovery and technology development. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with various rodent animal models in a fast-paced and collaborative research environment. You will work closely with an experienced drug discovery team, contributing to the early stages of research and development. Primary Responsibilities Conduct histology and pathology work, including tissue collection, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (HE/IHC), imaging, and data analysis. Support efficacy, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), and toxicology studies. Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Organize and present data at project meetings and conferences. Qualifications MS, M.D., or Ph.D. degree in biology, genetics, neuroscience, or a closely related field. ≥3 years of experience in an academic or industry setting. Strong background in anatomy and histology & pathology, hands-on techniques in HE, special, and IHC staining, proficiency in image analysis and quantifications. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience with ophthalmic disease models is a plus.
