These openings are on Anchor's 12-Hour Shifts. Work 4 shifts one week, followed by 3 shifts the next.

*** This is a Safety Sensitive Position under the Medicinal Marijuana Provisions of the State of Arkansas.***

SUMMARY

Assist Sheet Operator in the operation of plastic sheet extrusion equipment in the manufacturing of plastic sheet for food packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

1. Helps in the operation and maintenance of plastic extrusion lines in the manufacturing of plastic for food packaging.
2. Understands and can identify the materials used in specific applications.
3. Understand the material conveying systems.
4. Keeps area and equipment clean.
5. Maintains a fork truck license through Anchor Packaging.
6. Removes roll stock from extrusion lines and packages the roll stack according to specification.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain a fork truck license/certification through Anchor Packaging.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to working near grinders and resin conveying equipment.
