About Our Client My client is a specialized design-build firm focused on delivering energy-efficient upgrades and infrastructure improvements, primarily for federal government facilities. Job Description What You'll Be Doing: - Serve as the on-site SSHO ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and company safety standards.
- Oversee daily safety operations, conduct jobsite audits, and lead safety briefings/toolbox talks.
- Coordinate closely with project management, field crews, and federal representatives to ensure a proactive safety culture.
- Assist with preparation and review of safety documentation, including Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Travel to Charleston, SC initially for onboarding and training on company safety protocols, then transition to the D.C.-based project (June/July start).
- All travel during the Charleston assignment is covered; you'll return home each weekend.
Project Snapshot: - Charleston, SC: Short-term travel assignment for training and onboarding on an active federal project.
- Washington, D.C.: $210M, 4-year project converting and upgrading MEP systems across 12 General Services Administration (GSA) buildings to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.

The Successful Applicant What We're Looking For: - Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience (federal/MEP-heavy projects preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of federal safety standards; experience on GSA projects is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification and current First Aid/CPR required; EM 385-1-1 training is a plus or must be obtained.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to project requirements.
- Willingness to travel Monday-Friday during the Charleston training phase.
