LifePoint is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative services team. The PACU RN is responsible for providing high-quality, post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical or procedural interventions.
• Manage airway, vital signs, pain, and post-operative complications.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during the recovery process.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in PACU readiness, including equipment checks and emergency preparedness.

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 year of acute care or PACU/critical care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
