Director of Engineering and Quality

High Point, NC | Full-Time

Our client, a leading manufacturer of advanced electro-mechanical systems, is seeking a Director of Engineering and Quality to lead and scale their technical operations. This is a strategic role overseeing both engineering and QA functions, focused on product development, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to align with company goals
• Lead all phases of product development, from concept through launch, ensuring timelines and specifications are met
• Serve as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers
• Manage engineering change processes and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance
• Research and qualify alternative components or suppliers as needed
• Communicate project updates and technical risks to senior leadership
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 7–10 years of experience in a technical leadership role, including management of multidisciplinary teams
• Prior experience with electro-mechanical systems or automated test equipment preferred
• Strong background in quality systems, new product development, and supplier coordination
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Additional Details:

• On-site attendance is required, with some flexibility for remote work
• Travel up to 10%
