Job Summary: The Hospitalist is expected to provide clinical care for patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals, support surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice.

Schedule: Block 7 days on, 7 days off (6a-6p)

Primary Functions:

• Assess, evaluate, and manage patients in the acute facility, including histories, physicals, and examinations.
• Diagnose and actively manage patient conditions, including evaluation and treatment.
• Attend multi-disciplinary rounds.
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and labs.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Prescribe or recommend therapies, including controlled medications.
• Consult with appropriate physicians.
• Refer patients to care sources as needed.
• Utilize resources efficiently while supporting clinical pathways and compliance.
• Refer patients to tertiary care as indicated, in consultation with primary or attending physicians.

Education, Training, and Experience:

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of residency in Internal or Family Medicine.
• Board Certified or Eligible (IM or FP).
• Active FL medical license.
• DEA license eligible/active.
