Senior Digital Forensic Analyst Contact Discovery Services - Washington, DC Location: Washington, DC Start Date: Negotiable A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, is looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Digital Forensic Analyst. We seek a motivated individual with a strong interest in legal and technology fields, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses excellent communication skills, is a problem solver, and reliable. The role involves domestic and international travel for on-site collection efforts. It offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office presence at our Washington, DC office, which houses our forensics lab and data center.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Perform complex forensic data collections and analysis both on-site and remotely. Consult with legal teams and client IT departments to define project scope and workflows. Maintain forensic tools, stay informed on updates and new market options. Collaborate with project management and team members to complete projects efficiently. Develop, document, and improve procedures to meet discovery requirements. Provide accurate project estimates and identify upselling opportunities. Support leadership through process improvements and industry trend adoption. Adhere to and update standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform quality control on work products before delivery. Complete additional duties as assigned by the manager. Guide and train junior team members.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering. At least 6 years of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisition, and analysis. Proficiency with industry-standard forensic tools (Axiom, EnCase, Cellebrite, FTK Imager, Digital Collector). Understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, encryption. Experience with preserving data from desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, cloud sources, social media. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed. Valid passport for international travel. Ability to document workflows and develop/train team members. Knowledge of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM). Ability to submit time entries regularly. Strong troubleshooting skills.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS:

Industry certifications (EnCE, CCE, CCFE, GCFE, GCFA, CCO, CCPA, CCME, etc.). Experience with litigation support applications (Relativity, Nuix, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365). Experience with scripting, programming, database languages (SQL, VB, HTML, Access).

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $120,000, with potential for higher based on experience. Performance bonuses and profit-sharing are also available.
