Senior General Ledger Accountant - Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 per year DOE

The Senior GL Accountant will play a key role in driving improved financial performance through strong GAAP knowledge, accounting technical skills, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong aptitude for numbers. This position requires someone flexible, who can navigate between tasks, roles, and projects with ease. You will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your analytical mindset and accounting expertise will directly support business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries, including eliminating entries and calculating monthly fees and accruals, also possibly assist with some general AP and AR postings.
Review and reconcile intercompany balances.
Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and review of general ledgers and preliminary financial reports for additional entries and/or research.
Prepare monthly business reporting, analyze variances by comparing actual results with forecasts and budgets, and communicate key takeaways.
Complete quarterly reports for review and submission to the appropriate entities.
Assist in the annual budgeting process.
Work collaboratively with all departments as needed
Analyze and review financial data, resolve questions or problems, present recommendations, and provide solutions to management.
Develop ad hoc financial models and analyses to support strategic and operational initiatives.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.
Other accounting tasks or analyses as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, Master’s Degree
3-5+ years relevant Accounting and Finance experience.
Experience working with staff across multiple locations and remote work sites
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong executive presence
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks
Ability to work independently in a goal-oriented environment
Strong understanding of multi-entity and/or multi-divisional reporting
Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
Healthcare experience and/or familiarity with medical terminology and revenue cycle management (preferred)
Able to work on-site at our corporate office in the Phoenix Arcadia area.
